What Causes Alignment to Change?

Why Do Cars Need an Alignment?

FAQ's

Q: How much are tires for my car or truck?

A: Call us with the year, make and model of your vehicle and we will determine the size of tire that’s on your vehicle and list your options.

Q: Do I need an appointment to have my tires installed?

A: No appointment is necessary, however you may want to call to be sure your tire is in stock.

Q: Do I have to put the same tire on my vehicle that originally came on it?

A: It is recommended that you put the same size and speed rating on your vehicle, but the brand and tread design is optional. Plus sizing your tires is also an option that is popular, even with the car manufacturer. However, the diameter of the tire must stay the same and the load rating of the tires must be comparable.

Q: How do I know when to replace my tires?

A: One indication is how your vehicle is handling. In wet weather, if the cornering is loose or sloppy, or hydroplaning is felt at any time, have your tires inspected immediately. However, it is best to replace your tires prior to this point. There are tread wear indicators running across the face of the tread on all tires. It is recommended that the tires be replaced prior to the tread being even with the indicators.

Q: What should the air pressure of my tires be?

A: Air pressure varies from vehicle to vehicle. Tire manufacturers recommend that the tires be inflated to the specs of the vehicle if the tires match the original equipment standards. To find the recommended air pressure, consult your owners manual or the plaque located on the inside doorframe of your vehicle.

NOTE: You should check your air pressure frequently because seasonal air temperature changes causes tire air pressure changes.

Q: What brands of tires do you carry?

A: We carry over 20 brands of tires including: Goodyear, Kelly, Dunlop, Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, Yokohama, Hankook, GT Radial, Pirelli, Sailun, Vanderbilt, General Tire, Mastercraft, Nexen, Nokian, Vogue, and more!

Q: Do you have my vehicles tire size?

A: Flynn’s has the regions largest inventory of tires. We stock almost every size tire. If we don’t have your vehicle’s tire size in stock, then we will have it for you in one or two days.
